01 · Understand a song
From a title to the story behind the lyrics.
Search by song or artist and open a result. Song analyses have more time to open when loading is slow. If opening fails, try again; you do not need to regenerate an existing analysis. Keep the song page open. When available, a First reading appears while the remaining sections are completed. The saved analysis replaces it automatically. If completion fails, the page tells you and lets you try again. New interpretations consider whether a song describes a memory, a real event or a wish, using fuller source passages when available. Keep the song page open while context is checked. If a source is slow or unavailable, the analysis continues with the context that could be retrieved. The First reading can appear as soon as its opening is ready, while the remaining chapters are still being written. The saved analysis replaces it when complete. If meaning generation fails, the waiting state ends so you can try again from the song page. If generation cannot start, the waiting state ends with an error. Reopen the song later to try again. When you open a search suggestion whose meaning is being generated, the page waits for the result and displays it without a manual reload. If a meaning update fails, the notice no longer suggests that edited lyrics caused it. You can keep reading the available interpretation and try again later.
Use the section shortcuts to read the meaning, title analysis, key lines, questions and Mong DNA. Generate the meaning if it is not available. On a song page, open Lyrics from the second section button. Key Lines remains inside Meaning. Open a song and follow the context links. When available, the reading can combine Wikipedia, music articles, Genius and Reddit posts. Community interpretations are attributed as such; unavailable sources are not evidence. Check the context links for attributed explanations and cultural background when sources are available. Older readings may update on a later visit. Choose your reading language when opening a song. Available public context can come from sources in other languages and is translated into your selection, keeping the original source links and qualifications. Not every song has a verifiable public reading. Open the recording you want. Labels such as Radio Edit, remaster or mono/stereo need not prevent finding context for the song; opera act labels are also recognized. Sources must identify the song and artist. Remixes, live and acoustic versions remain distinct, and context appears only when supporting sources are available. In new meanings, check the main interpretation and key lines for supported euphemisms, double meanings, irony and metaphors. Explanations connect the possible second sense to clues in the lyrics and keep uncertainty visible; not every phrase hides another meaning. In new meanings, open the deeper analysis to compare the literal reading with a second meaning when the lyrics support it. The explanation points to concrete clues and distinguishes a clear reading from a possibility; it does not assume every song hides a message. Open Title Analysis to read the title’s translation and interpretation when available. Ordinary translations are distinguished from specialist definitions that need sources. If a section cannot be shown, the rest of the available analysis remains readable. Open a line explanation to read its role in the surrounding passage. In the title and context sections, distinguish documented details from possible readings; older analyses may await an update. Open Title Analysis to read the title’s meaning. A title already in the analysis language needs no translation into another language. Rechecking the same documented context no longer creates another version of an up-to-date meaning. When a new interpretation arrives, choose to open it or keep reading. Open a saved song and keep reading: a newer version in another language alone will not replace your interpretation. Source checks keep an up-to-date reading when the evidence is unchanged. Its update date reflects when that language's interpretation was generated. When a song already has a public reading with saved, verified sources, generating it in another language reuses that evidence and explains it in your language, preserving links and uncertainty. If you open the same song in two tabs while its meaning is being prepared, both tabs wait for the same result. If it does not arrive, you can try again from the song page. New and regenerated meanings explain the title through a lyric or the song’s interpretation. A generic uncertainty notice no longer replaces the title analysis. Read the song's lyrics meaning with its artist and verified context where available. In a song's Meaning section, read the title, deeper insight, emotional impact and takeaway chapters when they contain supported analysis.
Listen to the preview or open Spotify, Apple Music or YouTube when links are available. Opening a song without a video starts a search in the background when available. Saved videos are reused. If a search cannot finish, a later visit can try again. If a song has no video because searching was temporarily unavailable, opening it again checks whether the search can now run. A matching video is saved for later visits. Open the artist’s name on a song page. Missing profile information is looked up when you visit, including for vocal groups. Available songs remain accessible while the biography loads; revisit the page later if it is still incomplete. Reopen an artist’s page to check their activity status. If the last successful check is over 24 hours old, itsMong consults public sources again. If a source is unavailable, the last known status is kept; a later visit can retry. On an artist page, see the main Mong DNA and filter that artist's available songs by DNA. On an artist page, read the biography in your selected language when translation is available, and open its link to see the original source. Open an artist to explore published songs in your language, including name variants with different accents or punctuation.
Follow emotions, themes and curated paths. Open Mong DNA from the main menu. Choose a filter, combine dimensions and open a song to read its meaning. You can explore without signing in.
Open Discover and choose an emotion, a meaning world or a curated path. Use the section icons to find your way: a pulse for emotions, a double helix for Mong DNA and a globe for worlds. From Discover, choose Find My Song to describe a feeling or scene in your own words. Sign in to search; there may be no strong match yet.
Use Mong DNA filters to explore themes, archetypes and emotional traits. Open Mong DNA to learn what its emotions and themes mean, then choose an emotion or search for a specific song. Choose a meaning world or a DNA filter; a theme or archetype on a song opens the matching Discover results. Choose any emotion in Discover to open its song collection. A collection appears in search when enough published songs are available. Select a subworld name to open it directly; use Open world for the broader collection. The subworld badge marks the curated path, while emotional tags come from the saved meaning.
Open a song or save a world to revisit it in your library; try the weekend selection too. Use the internal links to move between songs and Discover without an extra page reload. If a meaning fails to load, retry from the song page.
Choose a country and optionally a city or dates. Ticket availability and affiliate coverage vary by market.
Search events, festivals or artists in one field. After searching, you can choose an exact artist from the suggestions to see only their events.

Check the venue, local date and sale status. View tickets opens the event page; approved Impact links carry an affiliate notice. Coverage varies by market. The song's tickets section appears when events with tickets are available; try the Concerts page for a wider search. If a concert search is temporarily unavailable, Mong now tells you. Try again later and confirm availability on the ticket seller’s website.
Explore public playlists with search and DNA filters, or open My playlists to create a public or private collection. Public playlists appear as the page opens, so you can explore a collection before using the filters. Explore the public example playlists by itsmongapp. Open one to see its songs, description and Mong DNA; public playlists with at least two songs may appear in search.
Add songs from iTunes, reorder with the arrows or remove them. Songs without a generated meaning do not count toward DNA; use Generate meaning beside the song.
Edit the name and description, or generate a description and review it before saving. Share public playlists and like others to find them in your library. Open a playlist you own, choose an image and press Save image. JPG, PNG or WebP, up to 5 MB; it replaces the song collage.
Build My Story with songs that matter to you, then open Mongprint and check your progress.
When enough information is available, explore your emotional patterns and share your Mongprint card if you wish.
Choose a song, adjust your answers, then press Generate diagnosis. If its meaning is missing, we will prepare it when you press Generate. This can take a little longer. No complete meaning was returned for this song. Retry; if it still cannot be prepared, try another song. On a song page, choose Song diagnosis in the section navigation to reflect on that song without leaving the page. In Song diagnosis, add up to 320 characters of personal context and generate your result. Open Share to copy the full text or share a summary card; if file sharing is unavailable, the PNG downloads. Saving to your library requires sign-in. Generate a diagnosis and save its reading to your private library. Open or remove it there whenever you want.
Discover people through their relationship with music.
Open Community or Members and visit a public profile. The violet crown marks the official itsMong account in member profiles and conversations. When a member shares a country, look for its flag beside the country name.
Follow people you want to hear from and explore what they have shared. In Community, open a founder or official site profile to see its badge; these accounts do not appear in the member ranking or show a level. Open a conversation in Community and select Show replies to read its thread without opening the song.
Use Inbox for messages and notifications, and Profile to choose what you share about yourself. Replies are public. Sign in to respond or react; use Load more replies for longer threads. Open a response and choose Reply. Sign in to publish; everyone can read the nested discussion.
Create an account, verify your email and sign in. Use password recovery if needed. On Create account, choose Continue with Google and select your Google account. If you already have an account, you will sign in; new accounts continue to initial preferences. Sign in or create an account from a page to return there after access. Your language, filters and section are kept, including when you switch between sign-in and registration. New accounts return after the initial preferences step.
Edit your profile, musical tastes, language and available notification preferences. Open your profile after signing in, choose an image and press Save image. JPG, PNG or WebP, up to 5 MB; it is cropped to a square. Use My public profile at the top of Profile to see what others can view.
Browse Concerts and choose your location; review newsletter options in your preferences.
Read What’s new for changes, or use the site map to find a section. Use the footer columns for quick links; expand Site map for every available section. The home page can now show ads when available. You can manage your advertising preferences through the privacy control in the footer.
