itsMong is a place to discover the stories, emotions, and ideas behind the songs you love.
The origin
I'm Matias, originally from Argentina and now living in Australia.
While studying web development, I wanted to build something around something I've always loved: music.
I kept thinking about that moment when you've heard a song dozens of times and then discover the story behind it. Suddenly, the same song sounds completely different.
That idea became itsMong.
The moment
A song can change when you understand what the artist was living through, what its images represent, which emotions run through it, and why listeners hear it differently.
From an idea to a place
itsMong began as a web development project and kept growing into a place to explore songs more deeply—one meaning, story, and emotional connection at a time.
The philosophy
Sometimes we know what an artist intended. Sometimes meaning grows from the lyrics and their context. And sometimes it belongs to the person listening.
Sometimes the artist gives us the answer.
Sometimes the lyrics do.
And sometimes the meaning belongs to the listener.
Technology, human first
itsMong uses technology, including AI, to connect context, information, and different interpretations. The point is not the technology itself. It is the human moment of hearing something you had missed before.
Still building
itsMong started as a student project. I'm still building it, experimenting with new ways to connect music, technology, and human emotion.
